World's Longest Taxi Ride in a Black Cab


t’s on the Meter’ is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest taxi journey in history. The expedition is covering three continents, thirty-nine countries, ten time zones and 50,000 km, in a 19-year-old classic London Black Cab.


The team set off from London on 17th February 2011, travelling via Europe, Russia, the Middle East, India, China and South East Asia and arriving in Sydney in October 2011. Paul Archer, Leigh Purnell, both 23, and Johno Ellison, 27, have so far clocked up more than 17,000 miles since they set off from the capital on February 17.
